Kein Problem. Gerne.
An ongoing project

This is a choreographic project with fellow dance artist and classical singer, Sarah Heberling.

The piece is called 'Kein Problem. Gerne.' which in English translates to 'No worries. Gladly.'

We are in the choreographic stages of this piece. Creating a 15 minute piece where we ourselves perform in it.
The project “Kein Problem. Gerne.” explores the ambivalence between the ease of small talk and the underlying human need for connection.
The focus is on two performers who share the same space and time—neighbors in a recurring everyday life. They encounter each other again and again, crossing paths at different moments, but following their own timelines.
Fragile connections, brief moments of synchronisation and missed encounters arise between them.

Movements emerge from everyday gestures and mimetic fragments of conversation: a nod, a wave, a polite smile. These gestures are exaggerated, alienated, rhythmicised and choreographically condensed in order to break automated sequences of actions and create a new awareness.
The piece moves between superficiality and depth, loneliness and closeness, humor and tragedy. It shows how thin the line is between genuine connection and pure convention—and invites the audience to smile at the absurdity and, at the same time, the humanity of our everyday communication.
In March we begin our Residency with Tanz Platform Leipzig- 4fT to continue creating and producing this piece.

Working hard until we can share a premier date.
